Surgery - Hopefully the End of my Sinus Saga

I completed the antibiotics that the ENT prescribed earlier this month and went in for a follow-up CT Scan and visit.  While a bit better, removing infection from my sinuses requires surgical intervention.  I will also get my deviated septum fixed during this same time.

There is an underlying tooth issue that the ENT believes sparked the sinus infection.  I will work with my ENT to get clearance on when I can begin working with an endodontist for either a root canal or tooth removal.
I am hopeful that once this is done, my sinus saga will be over.

I will be off work for 7 business days and it is suggested that strenuous activity be avoided for 14 days better known as "No Crossfit."  Light walking is encouraged.

My husband gave up his spot on a waitlist for a conference in San Diego to be my transportation and post surgery caregiver.

From the research I've done, the first 3-4 days are the worst with the bandages/dressings.  Outside of possibly taking a walk, I plan to say home until my follow-up appointment on November 9th.

Finally having a diagnosis and a path forward has allowed me to close my workplace accommodation case that allowed me to work fully remote these past several months.  While I enjoy remote work and it was very helpful while my husband traveled during the summer, I am seeing the return to hybrid at a new office space as a fresh start and a new opportunity.  I do expect there will be days that I grumble about traffic in downtown Columbus or a rainy walk in the rain from the parking lot to the office building
